Pipe Burst Calls for Water Damage Repair in Yorba Linda

10/2/2015 (Permalink)

A pipe burst can mean the worst for you and your home. Depending on the frequency of use of the pipe and the location, it can mean anything from a minor leak where we remove a tiny bit of drywall to a massive leak that floods the entire home. In either case, SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea is ready to step in and help. It is important to always have a professional examine the water damage before trying to clean it yourself. The damage could be worse than you think and, if left ignored, the possibility of mold in your home spikes exponentially.

One homeowner in Yorba Linda called us after noticing the walls in his master bedroom were soggy. He initially called a plumber, who came out but told him he could not fix the problem until he had a professional water damage company inspect the damage. He recommended he call SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea.

Upon receiving the call, we sent our Project Manager, Uriel Valencia, to the home to review the water damage. He concluded that the pipe burst had extended from the master bedroom and into the master bathroom and closet. He knew SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea would be able to help. He called our Crew Chief, Gilbert Julian, and told him to bring our technicians out to the scene.

As soon as our technicians arrived, we got to work. We removed the vinyl flooring in the bathroom as well as the drywall in all three rooms. We were thankfully able to completely save the carpet in the master bedroom.

The homeowner was so happy with the work we did! More than anything, he was happy he would not have to replace his carpet, but he was also grateful that our work was quick, efficient, and safe. He promised to use our services again if he needed.
