After Hours Work for SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea

9/2/2015 (Permalink)

At SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea, we understand that sometimes you need help with water damage, no matter the hour. That’s why SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea is available to help at all hours of the day, all days of the year. Holiday, weekend, midnight: it doesn’t matter. We will always be able to get to your home and, at the very least, do everything in our power to stop the damage from spreading until we can put our full force of work into it.

We recently received a call from a Brea homeowner after we had already closed for the day. She had noticed that her hardwood floors were soggy and starting to buckle in a couple of her rooms. She knew something needed to be done, and fast. She had called her insurance agent, who gave her our name as the best restoration company in the business. Our Project Manager, Jonathan Arcila, arrived first. He performed an initial inspection and started setting up containment areas. It was clear the water damage had been there for a while, so he knew mold could be a potential danger.

First thing the next day, he called out the rest of our technicians to finish the job. We came in and, first things first, performed an asbestos abatement so we could ensure the safety of the walls we were cutting into. From there, we removed a lot of the buckled wood flooring and drywall in the kitchen, dining room and entryway. We also sprayed all the affected areas with antimicrobial to ensure that mold would not grow.

The homeowners were so pleased with the work that we did! Though we found no mold in the home, we did make sure to take preventative maintenance so there were no further problems, and the homeowners were incredibly grateful. They promised to give us a call if they ever found themselves in a similar situation.
