SERVPRO Helps Police Officer with Slab Leak

Slab leaks can be a serious problem. They can cause some major water damage and because the signs of a slab leak are so small, most homeowners easily overlook them. But if you hear water running even after you turn off your faucets or you notice unexplained wet spots on your carpet, you might have a slab leak on your hands. And when you do find a slab leak, there’s only one business you should call to deal with its attendant water damage, and that’s SERVPRO.

That’s what one police officer did in Yorba Linda when his home suffered a slab leak. After having a plumber come in to fix the leak, that same plumber referred the Yorba Linda police officer to SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea to deal with the water damage. When the officer gave us a call, we sent out Project Manager Uriel Valencia to take a look at the house and figure out whether SERVPRO could help. After realizing that we could assist, a team of SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea technicians was sent out to clean up the water damage.

The hallways, bedroom, bedroom closet and guest room were all affected by the slab leak in the police officer’s home. To clear up the problem, the SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea team removed some padding and drywall from each and every one of the rooms. In addition, they floated all of the carpets so any possible damage to them was prevented. Equipment was then placed in all of the rooms to dry them down by the SERVPRO technicians.

At the end of the process, the police officer and his family were all very happy with our services. They promised to call SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea if they ever needed to deal with a slab leak again.
