Shower Crack Damages Placentia Home

It feels like so much water damage is due to faulty or old piping. But what happens when the water damage is not due to a pipe at all? Is it preventable? With pipes, proper maintenance and checks can prevent serious water damage from occurring, but what else should be checked? As we have mentioned previously, the kitchen and the bathrooms are the most common areas for leaks. This rings true, even when a pipe is not involved.

For one homeowner in Placentia, his shower started to leak. He could not immediately trace the source of the water, but after calling out a plumber, he was informed that he had a crack in the shower that was causing a lot of water damage. He called out our Crew Chief, Jose Paramo, to bring out a team of technicians to get the job done.

We performed the asbestos abatement and then got to work removing the damaged areas. We removed some drywall and vinyl flooring. The homeowner requested we call each day to inform him of how the job was progressing, so we updated him daily.
