Brea Business Bemoans Broken Water Heater

Maintaining water heaters is imperative for any home or business. This extends farther than just making sure the water heater works, though. This also includes inspecting areas around the water heater for mold or damage that may have occurred from long-term use of the water heater. Without a proper inspection, the areas around the water heater can rot and cause an even bigger problem.

One business owner in Brea, CA arrived at work one morning to realize there was a leak in the water heater that was rotting the area surrounding it. The water damage extended to the break room and the conference room.

The business owner had unfortunately dealt with water damage before, but thankfully had been happy with the previous work of SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea, so they knew who to call. He called on a Wednesday morning, and we sent out our Production Manager, Chris Trejo, to the job within the hour.

What always becomes the obstacle with a business is the need to stay open while we get the water damage removed. Because of this, we do everything in our power to make the process as effortless as possible. For this business, we were able to take care of the entire water damage in only three visits! Once to inspect, once the following day for the removal, and once to make sure the area was completely dry.

We found water damage in two walls, the ceiling, and some cabinets. We removed the affected areas as quickly as possible and set up air movers to ensure there was no mold growth as a result of the water damage.
