Pipe Burst in Yorba Linda, CA Home

3/4/2015 (Permalink)

Your home and your possessions are everything, so when they’re threatened with water damage, it can be terrifying. For one Yorba Linda homeowner, when a pipe burst in his home, he immediately worried about his massive collection of horse figurines in his back room.

A quick search on Google had him calling SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea immediately. We sent out our Production Manager, Cesar Arcila, to take a look at the damage. The homeowner told Cesar that the tile he had in that room was expensive and hard to get, and he did not want any removed. Unfortunately, the water damage had ruined the stabilization underneath the tile and some of it would have to be brought up.

With extremely careful hands, SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea removed each tile, one by one, keeping them whole so they could be reused when they had to be laid again. After the process was done, only one tile had been cracked. The homeowner had six spare tiles, so he was immensely pleased with how hard SERVPRO worked to keep his tiles in one piece.

Though the room was small and had little ventilation, we set up to dry the room as quickly as possible. Thankfully, no horse figurines were hurt in the process.

The homeowner thought he was through his worries, but that was not the case. As we finished the water damage removal, the plumbers came in to fix the broken pipe. Unfortunately, they did not plumb the house properly and less than a day later the homeowner had another leak in his kitchen. Knowing first-hand what a spectacular job SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea does, he called us back.

We went out that same day to clean the water damage and made sure the house was dry and secure before we left. The homeowner was so happy with our work, not just the first time, but both times he needed us. He assured us he would be calling again if the need arose.
