Mold in an Old Home in Brea, CA Makes the Homeowner Sick

A homeowner in Brea, CA lived in a very old home.  Over a period of time, he began experiencing some serious bouts of illness and could not determine why he was getting sick so often.  He finally went to see a doctor to determine what the reason could be and if there was anything he could do to prevent himself from continuing to get sick.  The doctor explained that if he lived in an old home, there could be mold spores in the home that were causing him to get sick.  The homeowner decided to call SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea as soon as he got home from the doctor.  He wanted us to come and see if we could detect any mold in his home to determine if this was the reason for his illnesses.

We sent our Production Manager, Jonathan Arcila, to the home the same day.  He did not want to delay any mold clean-up because mold is hazardous to your health.  He didn’t want this customer to have to suffer any more than he already had.  When he arrived, he performed a thorough inspection of the home and detected mold throughout the entire home.  He was confident we would be able to complete the mold clean-up for him and sent our Crew Chief, Waldo Roman, to the home with his team of professionals to start the mold clean up right away.

The team worked quickly and efficiently to remove all of the mold from the home.  They wanted to get the job done as fast as they could so that the homeowner could get back into his home and live in a safe, mold-free environment.  Our team finished the job quickly and ended by setting up air scrubbers to ensure there were no remaining mold spores in the air of the home.  They wanted to be as complete and thorough as possible. 

When the team was finished with the mold clean-up, the homeowner was thrilled with their hard and professional work.  He was very thankful they were able to remove the mold quickly allowing him to get back into his home in a short amount of time.
