Water Restoration is Needed Due to a Slab Leak in a Brea, CA Home

Heavy rainfall recently hit Southern California, and it left many homeowners to discover unknown leak issues in its wake. A Brea, CA homeowner noticed that her carpet was wet after the recent storm and she could not determine the source of the water. She could not see anything above ground that could be causing the leak, so she decided to call a plumber to see if something underground was the issue. The plumber was able to determine that the water was coming up through a slab leak. He knew it could be fixed but needed the assistance of SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea in removing the excess water from under the house. The homeowner immediately called us to come and perform water restoration in her home while the plumber repaired the slab leak.  

We sent out our Production Manager, Jonathan Arcila, to take a look at the water damage and determine if water restoration was needed. He was able to confirm that it was needed, and he got to work right away by calling our Crew Chief, Jose Melgar, to the home along with his team of professionals.  

The team arrived quickly to begin removing the affected areas of carpet and flooring. They worked quickly and efficiently to ensure no further damage would be incurred and to ensure that mold would not begin to grow in the damp areas of the floor. Because of the homeowner’s quick response to the wet carpet, we only had to remove a few small sections of damaged flooring.  

Once the water restoration was complete, the homeowner was thrilled with our superior service and workmanship. She was also very happy with the speed at which we were able to have her home back to normal. She could not be happier that we responded to her situation right away and completely removed all of the water from her home.
