A Shower Leak Causes Water Damage in a Brea, CA Home

A Brea, CA homeowner was in her closet one morning when she noticed water was dripping from the ceiling.  When looking at the area, she also saw a water spot that had begun to form.  Knowing the layout of her home, she assumed something must have been leaking in the bathroom on the second story that was directly above the closet.  She was not aware of any obvious leak, so she called a plumber to come and investigate.

He was able to determine that her shower was leaking.  He quickly fixed the leak but told her she should also call SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea because there was significant water damage to the ceiling, and they were the best water restoration company for the job.

She called our office, and we sent our Production Manager, Jonathan Arcila, to the home to take a look at the damage.  He confirmed that water restoration was needed and that our crew would be happy to do it.  He called our Crew Chief, Jose Melgar, to have him go to the home with his team of professionals to get started on the water restoration.  

When they arrived, they needed to remove a couple of small sections of the ceiling because the water damage was significant. The other areas that were damaged could be dried out using fans and more removal was not necessary.  Once the fans were set up and the water was completely removed from the home, we were able to finish and pack up in just a few days. Our team was able to finish the water restoration in no time, and the customer was thrilled with our response time.  She was happy we arrived at her house quickly and were able to fix the problem in such a short amount of time.
