A Burst Pipe Floods the Attic of a Brea, CA Home
A homeowner in Brea, CA noticed that a section of his ceiling had begun bulging and was looking discolored. He went up into the attic to see if he could determine what the issue was. Once up there, he noticed that a pipe had burst sometime within the last few days, and everything was wet. He immediately climbed down and went to turn off the water to the house. He called a plumber to come and fix the leak but also knew that he would need to call someone for water removal.
While the plumber was fixing the leak, the customer called his father to ask for a recommendation for a water removal company. His father recommended that he call SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea to perform the water removal. Concerned about mold and water damage, he called our office right away. We were able to send our Production Manager, Chris Trejo, to the property to inspect the water damage in the attic. Chris recommended that water removal be performed right away.
We then sent our Crew Chief, Waldo Roman, and his professional and experienced crew to the property to begin the water removal process. As soon as they arrived, they began to remove the water from the attic in a safe manner. The homeowner was very grateful to SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea for our quick response and effective work. It was great that the customer called us out when he did, otherwise there would have been extensive water damage. Luckily, the damage was not that bad when we arrived, and we were able to finish up relatively quickly. The customer was very pleased with the service we were able to provide him.
