A Water Heater Leak Causes Water Damage in a Yorba Linda, CA Home

When a Yorba Linda homeowner returned home from work, he could hear the sound of flowing water coming from the water heater closet.  Concerned, he approached the closet to investigate and noticed that the surrounding area was soaking wet.  He then proceeded to open up the closet to discover there had been a water heater failure and the unit was leaking a considerable amount of water onto the floor.  He immediately called a technician to come and repair the water heater.  Once the repair was complete, he knew he still needed to call someone out to perform water damage repair on the surrounding area. 

After a quick Yelp search to find a water restoration company, the customer determined that SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea was the best company for the water damage repair.  He called our office, and we immediately sent our Production Manager, Jonathan Arcila, to the home.  He determined that water removal and water damage repair was needed.  To perform the water damage repair, he called our Crew Chief, Jose Melgar, who arrived with his team of professionals to begin work.  

The team had to remove a small section of the floor near the water heater closet.  Thanks to the customer’s quick call and our quick response, the damage was not nearly as bad as it could have been.  We were able to perform the water damage repair very quickly.

The customer was thrilled with our timely work and could not have been happier with our professional services.  He was thankful that we arrived quickly and prevented the spread of any further damage or mold growth.
