Water Damage in a Brea, CA Attic

A Brea homeowner noticed that a spot on her ceiling looked a little discolored.  She went into her attic to see if there was an obvious reason for the discoloration.  Once up in the attic, she discovered that her roof had leaked during the last rainstorm, and water had dripped to the attic floor and through to the ceiling below.  She immediately called to have someone come repair the roof to prevent this from happening again.  While the roofer was able to repair the leak, he suggested that the homeowner also call SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea to inspect for any water damage that needed to be repaired. She took his advice and called us.

We sent our Production Manager, Chris Trejo, to her property right away.  After he assessed the damage to the attic, he determined that extensive water damage had occurred and water damage repair needed to be performed as soon as possible.  This was especially true because the beginnings of mold growth were also present in the attic.  Because mold poses health threats that can produce allergy-like symptoms, respiratory issues, and skin irritations, problems like this need to be resolved quickly. 

To begin the water damage repair, we sent our Crew Chief, Waldo Roman, to the house to start work immediately.  He and his team of experienced professionals started the water damage repair and mold remediation as soon as they arrived.  They completed both tasks quickly to prevent any further damage or mold growth.  The homeowner was pleased that we were able to complete the project so quickly.  She wanted the water damage repaired and the mold removed as quickly as possible to avoid any health issues caused by the conditions in her home, and SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea was able to do just that.  She couldn’t have been happier with our service and efficiency.
