Water Damage is Discovered in a Brea, CA Home

A small and slow leak in a toilet can cause major water damage to the surrounding area if it is not taken care of quickly.  A Brea, CA homeowner noticed this situation in one of his bathrooms and became worried that the leak would cause water damage to his hardwood floor.  He was also concerned about the potential for mold growth.  He did not want to take a chance that harmful mold spores were infecting his home.  He came to the decision that it would be best to call SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea to assess his current situation. 

We sent our Production Manager, Jonathan Arcila, to the property to evaluate the water damage.  When he arrived, he immediately recommended that the customer call a plumber to fix the slow leak in the toilet.  Once the customer did this and the leak was fixed, we were able to send out Waldo Roman, our Crew Chief, and his team to perform the water damage restoration.  Jonathan noticed that the hardwood floor was beginning to buckle up from the water damage and knew the water needed to be removed before any more damage could occur.  Our team was able to remove only the affected pieces of hardwood flooring, and thankfully, there was no mold present in the bathroom.  The water damage was remedied quickly enough that mold growth was prevented. 

Our whole water damage restoration process took only a few days and the homeowner was back in a damage and water free home.  He was pleased with our quick response and professional work.  We offered him superior customer service, and he was grateful for our ability to remove all of the water from the floor and the surrounding area.  He was also thankful that our crew was skilled enough to salvage his hardwood floor and save him money in would-be repair costs.
