Water Removal Services are Required in a Yorba Linda Home

When a Yorba Linda home owner walked into her living room one afternoon, she noticed what looked like a water spot under one of her windows.  She was confused because there was no nearby water supply by the window, so she was unsure of how damage could have occurred there.  Not knowing what the problem was, she decided to call the heroes at SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea to come and investigate to determine if water damage restoration was needed. 

SERVPRO representative, Chris Trejo, went to the home to look at the issue for the customer.  He noticed that the window was improperly sealed, and water had been leaking into the wall every time the customer’s sprinklers came on.  The customer was very surprised and became very nervous that mold could be growing because it was possible that water had been leaking in for months without her noticing.  Our technicians were able to ease her worries by explaining the water damage restoration process to her in great detail.  She was kept informed of what was going on in her home and assured that all water and mold would be removed. 

To enable her family to continue going about their everyday lives, we blocked off only the areas of the home that needed to be worked on.  The family was able to fully access all other areas of the home.  A commercial air scrubber was set up and used to purify the air of all mold spores that are a major health hazard.  We also provided superior water removal services to ensure that all affected areas were completely dry to prevent any further mold growth.  It took just under a week to complete the entire water damage restoration and return the customer’s home to a safe, mold-free environment.  The customer was so happy to be once again living in a healthy home and could not have been more pleased with our water removal services.  Before leaving, we advised her to have the window resealed and to adjust the sprinklers to prevent any other water damage from occurring in the future.
