From the AC to the Floor - Water Damage

Our client had a leak that started in the AC unit and flowed down into the walls and ceilings. The location of the ac unit was unfortunately in the attic which led to a portion of the ceiling collapsing in the home. Luckily no injuries took place and the family was safe but they did suffer from the damage of this leak. This water damage went from the attic, to the family room, and also the bedroom which led to major damage to the popcorn ceiling. Even more so there was an asbestos leak which led to a dang in the home due to the harmful chemicals.

Our team isolated the area and used an air scrubber to help contain the harmful substance and minimized the spread throughout the home. Once the containment was set in place the removal of the damaged area began to take place. Once the removal was done, our SERVPRO team then dried up the effected area using dehumidifiers. After the drying took place we then handed it over to the insurance company so they could hire another contractor to take care of the ceiling damage.

After our work was complete the homeowners expressed how pleased they were with our work and they especially loved the way we contained the effected area from entering any other part of their home.  Once the scope of the work seems to be complete we like to make one last sweep through before we hand it off to any other company to ensure that our part was done with excellence. Once we pass our own checkpoints we then allow other companies to get their work done.
