SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea Saves Home After a Water Heater Leak Leaves Behind Damage

We recently received a call from a homeowner in Anaheim who discovered that his water heater was leaking. Located in the upstairs closet, the water heater leak ended up damaging multiple rooms in the house including the bathroom, a bedroom, the hallway, another closet, the family room and the dining room area. The homeowner knew that he would not be able to take care of the removal himself, so he gave us at SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea a call. 

We immediately sent our Project Manager, Uriel Valencia, to the home to perform an initial inspection. After detecting the water damage in all of the affected areas, Uriel called Crew Chief, Saul Macias, to come out and get started on the cleanup process. 

Our team started the remediation by removing the baseboards in all of the affected areas. In the hallway, living room and family room we removed some of the laminate flooring. As for the bedroom and closet, our team packed out all of the room’s contents and then lifted the carpet to remove the carpet pad underneath. We removed some damaged drywall throughout the house as well. Finally, to make sure that all of the water damage was eliminated, we placed two dehumidifiers and twelve air movers throughout the home. 

The homeowner was very happy with our work. He appreciated how thorough and attentive we were with every step of the water damage remediation process.
