SERVPRO Called after Homeowner is Unsuccessful at Water Damage Removal

3/18/2016 (Permalink)

Water damage is scary business. Not for us, but for the homeowners. Seeing your home flooded or damaged is never fun. You’ve put so much time and effort into making your house a home, so seeing it crumble is terrifying. But no need to worry: at SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea, we always have your back. We are always ready to look into any water damage issues you may have. It is also much better to call us sooner rather than later. So as soon as you notice any amount of water damage in your home, call us so we can take care of cleaning it up.

A homeowner in Anaheim learned this the hard way, unfortunately. They had noticed some water damage in their living room, but thought it was something they would be able to clean up by themselves. They kept trying over the span of two weeks to clean it up, but the damage never completely dried. It was then when the homeowner knew that he needed to call a professional. He did a quick Google search to find the best water damage company in the area and found that SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea was the overwhelming answer. He gave us a call and we were able to send someone out immediately.

Our Project Manager, Cesar Arcila, was the first one on the scene. The homeowner asked us to perform our free inspection and give them any advice we had. Cesar took a look at the water damage and found that it had affected the living room, dining room, hallway and hallway closet. Since it had been two weeks, the damage was substantial. He recommended the homeowner claim the damage to his insurance and see what they could do. Thankfully, the insurance company was able to cover the entire cost for us to dry the area the right way.

We had our technicians come out and start the work as soon as we had the okay. We went in and ended up removing some of the drywall in all rooms. Thankfully, we were able to save the entirety of the flooring.

The homeowner was so happy with our work! He told us he wished he had called us sooner, as maybe the damage would have been less and easier to clean up. He promised to make sure we were the first call next time he needed any water damage help.
