Ladera Ranch Home Saved from Water Damage

2/15/2016 (Permalink)

When it comes to water damage, we at SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea know how to handle it. We take serious measures to get done what needs to be done. Sometimes this just means setting up some of our high-powered equipment to dry everything in place, other times it means some removal of drywall or flooring to make sure your home stays safe in the future. If we feel something cannot be dried in place, we would rather remove it entirely from your home than have it be a threat for mold or a danger to your family in the future.

A home in Ladera Ranch called us recently needing our help after a slab leak. The homeowner had noticed some soggy drywall low on the wall in his hallway but was unsure where it originated. He called his plumber, who diagnosed the slab leak and told him he would absolutely need a water damage company like SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea to come out to the house and take a look at the affects.

The homeowner called us and we were able to immediately dispatch our Project Manager, Uriel Valencia to the home to perform an initial inspection. Uriel found that the damage extended from the hallway to the bedroom and closet. He knew SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea would be able to take care of the job, so he called our Crew Chief to lead the technicians in the removal of the damaged area.

Our technicians got to work as soon as they arrived at the home. We ended up removing some of the baseboards in each of the affected rooms and we drilled a few holes to get some ventilation through the walls in order to dry them more thoroughly. From there, we were able to dry the drywall, carpet and pad in place.

The homeowner told us he could not have been happier with SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea and that he would be telling all his friends about our work.
