Water Heater Leak Causes Water Damage in Fullerton

A homeowner in Fullerton contacted us recently after their water heater leaked in the garage. Their insurance adjuster had already come out to the house and surveyed the damage. He recommended SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea for the job. The homeowner gave us a call and we immediately dispatched our Project Manager, Uriel Valencia, to the home to perform the initial inspection. Uriel found that the water heater had leaked through the drywall and into the hallway and laundry room.

Uriel talked to the insurance adjuster to see what would be covered. The adjuster explained that the only way the homeowner would be completely covered would be if everything was dried in place. Knowing this, Uriel called our Crew Chief, Cesar Arcila, and asked him to come out to the home to lead our expert technicians in the work that needed to be done. They arrived promptly and got to work.

Knowing our removal needed to be nonexistent, we set up a bunch of equipment to dry out all the drywall in place. We set up equipment in all the affected rooms, including the garage, and were able to dry everything in place.

The homeowner was so grateful for our work. Not only were we able to talk directly to her insurance adjuster, but we were able to comply with all the demands so she would not have to pay anything out of pocket. She promised she would be a returning customer in the future!
