Flood from slab leak created mold in a Brea home
A Brea home with a slab leak had flooded the kitchen and dining room. Because of the long duration of the problem, mold had become a real problem. Extensive mold was found on the bottom of the kitchen cabinets, on the cabinet toe kicks and along the walls/framing of the kitchen and dining rooms.
A commercial grade dehumidifier was installed to remove excess moisture in the air. A specialized air-scrubbing machine was installed to restore the air quality after a mold remediation process.
Mold spores can travel very easily through a home's air currents. To avoid spreading the mold, we build containments around the work area and use negative air pressure to prevent mold escaping. Then we run a HEPA filter to purify the work area after it's been cleaned. These filter any spores and clean the air to EPA standards.
Only special anti-microbial agents are used to clean the moldy surfaces.
