Anaheim Air BnB Gets Full Mold Remediation
SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/ Brea recently was called into a commercial renovation in an Air BNB location located in Anaheim, near Disneyland.
Many areas of the property had been flooded and left wet for a period much longer than the normal 48-72 hours required for mold growth to begin.
Affected areas of the property included the flooring in the entry way, living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and pantry. Overhead, on the second story, water damage and mold growth had occurred to the carpeting in the hallway, master bedroom. As downstairs, the tile in the master bath and toilet room also experienced mold growth.
Our team removed all the affected materials since they’d been damaged beyond repair.
We removed extensive drywall areas in walls and ceilings to dry out the wooden studs. Where we found mold, we used an anti-microbial agent.
Where it made sense, we erected containments in order to dry specific rooms more rapidly. It took five days to completely dry the structure.
All included, we used dehumidifiers, air movers and air scrubbers (HEPA air filters) to dry the structures to EPA standards.
Because this is a well-furnished Air BNB, we also provided thorough pack-out services.
