Fire Damage Restoration in Laguna Niguel

The SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/ Brea team was called into a fire damage restoration project in Laguna Niguel.

The customer had an older home, built pre 1980.  Faulty wiring behind one of the walls started a fire burning as you can see in the 'before' picture.  

Once the fire department had successfully put the fire out and we were given the 'all clear'' to begin restoration work, we began the drying out process.  In this instance, there was no standing water, so we were able to use air movers and dehumidifers.  However, the testing lab did identify the presence of asbestos.

In the 'after' photos, you can see one of the containments we erected.  We had to use engineering controls (including a HEPA air filter) in order to prevent asbestos from the distrubed areas from entering other areas of the house that had not been impacted by the fire damage.  

Also shown are the wall studs we uncovered by doing a partial demo.  This allows us to completely dry the interior of a wall when moisture has worked through the outer drywall.
