Insurance Covers Entire Water Damage in Placentia

Insurance companies can be difficult to deal with when it comes to water damage. Sometimes it seems like the odds are stacked against you when you’re already dealing with water damage and then, to top it off, an insurance company breaks the news: they won’t cover what you need. Whether because you chose the wrong water damage removal company or because the water damage was caused by a lack of maintenance, the last thing any homeowner wants to hear is that they will not be covered.

For one homeowner in Placentia, she was more than pleased when she found out that the entirety of her water damage would be covered by her insurance company.

When she heard water leaking in her kitchen, she rushed in and found that the pantry was starting to flood. She shut off the water and first called her insurance company to see what she should do. She gave us a call and we were out that same day. Our Production Manager, Cesar Arcila, made it to the job first and did an initial inspection to see what help we could provide. From there, he called out our team of experienced technicians to start getting the work done. Though the water damage extended from the pantry and into the kitchen, the adjoining master closet, the bathroom, and another hallway’s closet, thankfully there was very little demolition that needed to be done. There was only a small part of the wood floor that would have to be replaced.

The homeowner originally had planned to pay for the damage herself, but after a talk with her adjustor, she found out that her insurance would cover everything that needed to be done.

She was so thankful that SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea and her insurance company were able to work together to make sure she was safe. She was very happy with the work we did, and she promised to recommend us to all her friends!
