Pipe leak floods a Crawlspace in Villa Park, CA

Early one morning last month, SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/ Brea received a call for emergency help at a home in Corona, CA.

Following January's heavy rains,, the structure's crawlspace was flooded with standing water that needed to be removed as quickly as possible.  Mold can settle in within 48 hours; all it needs is moisture and wood fiber.  

The wood beams underneath this home were water damaged by the pipe leak. Temporary protective measures were utilized to prevent additional water damages, such as placing air movers to help prevent secondary damage such as mold.

In order to remove standing water and dry out the crawlspace, SERVPRO technicians used an extractor and then set up specialty-drying equipment underneath the crawlspace.
