Mysterious Leak Floods Yorba Linda Home

Sometimes the source of water damage is easy to identify and fix. Other times, you as the homeowner could have absolutely no idea the source of water damage. When this happens, it can sometimes be disheartening; not only are you worrying about water damage, but you now have to worry about how to stop it as well. A homeowner in Yorba Linda recently contacted us, unsure what was causing the flooding in his home but knew he needed a professional. He called our main call center, who then forwarded him on to us, as we were closest. As soon as we received the call, we dispatched our Project Manager, Uriel Valencia. 

Uriel made it to the home that same day and performed the first inspection. The homeowner thought the source of the leak was the washer in his laundry room, but he was unsure. Upon Uriel’s inspection, he found that though that may be the case, the leak was also caused by a clogged drain. He also found that the water damage extended from the laundry room to the hallway, hallway closet, master bedroom and master closet. He knew it would be a job for SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea. 

He called our Crew Chief, Gilbert Julian, and asked him to come to the home to lead our expert technicians in the removal. Our technicians arrived on the scene and began the work, starting first with extracting all the water. Then we went in and removed the carpet and pad in the bedroom, hallway and closets. In all areas, we had to remove some baseboard. Thankfully, we were able to save the tile floors in the laundry room and bathroom. To finish, we placed equipment to ensure everything was completely dry.

The homeowner was so appreciative of the work we did. He promised to call us again if he needed our services!
