SERVPRO Saves Orange Home from Water Damage

11/19/2015 (Permalink)

Slab leaks are one of the toughest to prevent. It requires constant monitoring of the pipes beneath your home, and if a leak is missed it could flood every room. As the pipes beneath your home wear down, they can start leaking up into the floors directly above them. This causes significant damage in the home, as it is usually not noticed until the damage has already been done. Slab leaks travel to multiple rooms and flood them all at once, so it is of the utmost importance to give SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea a call as soon as you notice it.

A homeowner in Orange did this recently. We received the call from the homeowner after he noticed one of his bathrooms always had wet flooring. He called his friends to see if anyone had referrals for a water damage restoration company, and the one name that kept coming up was SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea. He gave us a call and we made it out to the home the same day!

Our Project Manager, Jonathan Arcila, was the first on the scene. He performed his inspection and found that the slab leak was in more than just the bathroom. It had also flooded the hallway, a second bathroom and a closet. He knew we would be able to help him out, so he set up some drying equipment to contain the damage and called our technicians.

The technicians made their way out as soon as possible to get the work done. We went in and removed some carpet in the hallway as well as the flooring in both bathrooms. We had to remove some drywall as well in the hallway and first bathroom. From there, we placed some drying equipment to make sure the area was dried completely.

The homeowner was so happy he called us! He knew we were the best company for the job and promised he would join his friends in referring us in the future.
