Insurance Agent Deals with Flood Damage in Own Home

Insurance agents and adjusters are a big part of our process here at SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea. With each home, we work closely with the insurance agent to see what’s covered and what isn’t. We also work together with the homeowner to make sure as much as possible of what we do is covered by their insurance. We know how the process works and how to get you the most for your money. 

Recently, an insurance agent that we have worked with on a fairly regular basis called us for help. In his own home, he found a significant amount of water damage. He believed it was from a pipe leak between the floors, and knew it was affecting many rooms both upstairs and down. His first thought? Call SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea. He constantly refers his own customers to us and knew he would be able to trust our services.

Our Project Manager, Felipe Saldana, arrived first at the home. He performed an inspection and found that five rooms downstairs and two rooms upstairs had all been affected by this pipe leak. He knew SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea would be best for the job and called our Crew Chief, Jose Paramo, to assist. 

Together, the two led a team of technicians in the flood damage restoration. Thankfully, we were able to save the tile flooring in all of the downstairs rooms. We know tile can get pricey and do everything we can to save it. Unfortunately, the same could not be said for the ceilings. We had to remove some ceiling in each of the five downstairs rooms. Upstairs, we had to remove padding but thankfully saved the carpet.

The homeowner was so happy with our work. He now knows first-hand that SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea is the best out there! If he wasn’t 100% sure before, he can now confidently refer our services to his clients.
