Flood Damage Restoration in Brea Calls for SERVPRO’s Help

Air conditioners are important to the home, especially when you live somewhere as hot as Southern California! They work hard year-round to ensure you and your family never come home to a hot house. Unfortunately, sometimes they get worn out. When this happens, pipes can break and burst and unfortunately lead to flood damage in the home. It’s a stressful situation, but thankfully you don’t have to go through it alone. At SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea, we work hard to ensure the process is easy!

A Brea homeowner contacted us recently when she found her air conditioner flooding water into her master bedroom. It had been an old air conditioner, and was almost expected, but it was nonetheless frustrating for the homeowner to have to deal with. She called her air conditioning technician to fix the machine, but knew she needed more help in cleaning up her home. We arrived at the home within the hour. Our Project Manager, Chris Trejo, performed the initial inspection and knew it would be a job for SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea. He called for backup and our Crew Chief, Waldo Roman, came to the rescue with our team of technicians. They all got to work immediately, knowing time is of the essence with flood damage. 

Thanks to our quick response, we were able to save the entirety of her carpet! We did end up having to remove some of the padding underneath the carpet, as it was not drying in place, but the carpet was completely able to be salvaged. From there, we set up air movers and fans to ensure the rest dried out without any threat of mold.

The homeowner loved how quickly we responded! She told us she would absolutely be using our services again if the need arose.
