Concerned Property Manager Needs Water Damage Help

7/22/2015 (Permalink)

Oftentimes, situations between tenants and a property manager can get confusing. We generally have to schedule with both parties, so getting the job done in a timely fashion becomes more difficult. We love when we hear from property managers that are eager to take care of their tenants and get any and all water damage removed immediately. It makes our job easier and it therefore becomes easier to please everyone!

This specific property manager in Brea was very worried about his tenants. He noticed a leak in one of the pipes after an HVAC company had been out to repair something. The leak had happened in a pipe in the garage and spread to the hallway inside. The manager was concerned about mold growth, so he called SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea.

We immediately sent out our Project Manager, Chris Trejo, to the job to take a look around. He performed the initial inspection and set up some drying equipment to contain the damage and then called our Crew Chief, Cesar Arcila, to come out and lead a team of our talented technicians.

As soon as our technicians got in, they started the work. They had to remove drywall in both rooms as well as drill access holes in order to dry the interior of the walls. We set up a ton of equipment to dry everything out so mold would not be a factor. We checked for pre-existing mold as well as a result of the water damage, but thankfully there was none.

The property manager and the tenants were both very pleased with the work that we were able to do at the home. They were grateful that mold was not a problem and that all of the damage was removed properly. They gave us a great score on our survey and promised to call us again if necessary!
