Concerned Homeowner Calls SERVPRO about Mold

Sometimes being overly cautious can end up saving you a ton of money. Especially when it comes to mold, caution is key. Catching mold early will help save on the costs of damage. So if you or anyone you know notices mold growth, the best idea is to get it checked out. Much better safe than sorry in the long run!

A tenant in Rancho Santa Margarita recently noticed a little bit of mold in his laundry room. It almost looked like laundry lint, but the tenant was skeptical. He contacted the property manager, who came out to look at the mold and did not believe it to be a big deal. The manager wanted to leave it alone, but the tenant insisted on further help. He was worried for the safety of himself and his wife.

The manager called SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea to come out and take a look. We sent out our Project Manager, Jonathan Arcila, to the job to investigate. Sure enough, he found a lot more mold than the property manager thought. So much that we decided to call out an environmental company to test and see if the mold was airborne.

They tested and found that there were mold spores in the air, on the furniture, and even on the clothing of the tenants. Because of this, SERVPRO went in and performed a complete mold remediation. This included cleaning the clothes and furniture of the tenants.

The tenants were so happy with the work of SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea. They knew their insistence on double checking the mold would prove to be necessary, and they were glad SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea had their backs. They promised to call again if any similar mold or water damage came up!
