SERVPRO Saves New Wood Flooring

7/9/2015 (Permalink)

It always seems like water damage happens at the absolute worst times. It’s usually right when we’ve just finished a remodel, or right when we’ve had the walls painted. There’s no good time for water damage, but just after something has already been replaced is the worst. And as a result, it feels like all the hard work you just put in your beautiful home has been for nothing. So is there anything you can do to save your precious home?

The answer: professionals. There’s no guarantee that we can save anything, but especially at SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea we do what we can to make sure the reconstruction on your part is as little as possible.

One homeowner in Yorba Linda learned this firsthand. She was getting some re-piping and reconstruction done underneath her home when the construction workers found a slab leak. She called a plumber right away. He was able to repair it, but recommended she get a restoration company out to the home as soon as possible to try and save her brand new wood flooring.

She knew one of her friends had just dealt with water damage, so she called him to see which company he used. He told her he used SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea. She gave us a call and we were out to the home within 90 minutes. Because of her quick action and our quick response, we knew her new wood flooring had a fighting chance.

Our Production Manager, Cesar Arcila, and our team of technicians immediately got to work. We were able to desiccate the floor and set up floor mats, and thankfully keep the damage at a minimum. We were able to save it all!

The homeowner was so happy with our work. Since she wasn’t using her insurance company to pay for the work, she was glad our demolition was almost non-existent and she wouldn’t have to pay. She promised to be calling us again if she needed help!
