SERVPRO Saves Fullerton Home!

7/1/2015 (Permalink)

Water damage can be very scary. It can mean an entire reconstruction of your house! And if it sits there for too long, you and your family could be in danger of mold. So when we get a job that we know will be minimal demolition, we are always so relieved. The more we are able to save in a home means the less the homeowners have to reconstruct later, so when it comes to water damage, less really is more.

For one homeowner in Fullerton, they noticed one morning that their carpet was squishy and wet in their master bedroom. They immediately knew something was wrong, but wasn’t sure exactly what. They called out their plumber, who identified the leak as a slab leak and told them it was affecting more than just their master bedroom. He recommended they call a professional restoration company.

Thankfully, the homeowners knew exactly who to call. This wasn’t the first time they had to deal with broken pipes in their house. Last time, they called SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea and were so happy with the job we had done when it came to cleaning their home. They knew they wanted to call us again.

They gave us a call and that same day we sent out our Production Manager, Chris Trejo, to the home to complete the initial inspection. He set up initial dying equipment but called out our team of experienced technicians to start the work. Our technicians came out and lifted the carpet in the master bedroom, the family room, and the hallway. We had to remove some of the drywall in the master bedroom, but otherwise everything could be dried in place.

The homeowners were very happy with our work! Because we were able to contain the water damage, it did not get worse and there was very little demolition needed. They thanked us over and over and told us they would call again if they needed!
