SERVPRO Does It All!

Every once in a while, you’ll need a water restoration company. Other times, maybe you need an asbestos or mold company. And then there are occasions where you need someone that does everything. Water damage that has been left untreated can result in dealing with all three services at the same time. 

That’s what happened to one home in Placentia, CA. Their fridge leaked into their kitchen, but the homeowners decided they could do the water damage removal themselves. Unfortunately, they did not remove the damage properly so mold started to grow. When they realized this, they knew they would have to call in a professional.

Initially they called another restoration company, who was able to start the work. Unfortunately, everything came to a screeching halt when the company realized that an asbestos abatement was needed before the mold removal could start. This first company didn’t deal with asbestos, so the homeowners had to find a new company.

A quick Yelp search had them calling SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea. We do all the work that other restoration companies don’t do, and that’s exactly what the homeowner was looking for: a one-stop restoration company.

We sent out our Production Manager, Jonathan Arcila, to the job. He did the initial inspection and called our expertly trained technicians to come out and get the work going. The kitchen cabinets and ceramic floors in the kitchen as well as parts of the dining room, living room, and pantry were all affected. After our asbestos abatement, we did the mold removal, which included removing pieces of baseboard and drywall in the kitchen.

The homeowner was very happy with our services. They loved that SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea was able to do everything they needed so they didn’t have to deal with a million quotes with their insurance. They promised to call us again in the event of another water damage situation!
