Yorba Linda Businessman Deals with Pinhole Leak Before Trip

3/4/2015 (Permalink)

A leak in your home is the last thing you want to worry about when you’re leaving town, but leaky pipes don’t care about your schedule. For one unlucky Yorba Linda businessman, he discovered his ceiling was dripping water less than four hours before he was supposed to depart for a business trip.

An adjuster was the first to come out to the house and see the problem. Having worked with SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea before and knowing they would be the most trustworthy water damage removal company in the area, the adjuster called us immediately. When we heard the homeowner needed to be on a plane as soon as possible, we knew we had to drop everything and get over there to help.

Our Production Manager, Cesar Arcila, knew the problem would have to be taken care of immediately so the man wouldn’t miss his flight and the water damage would not get worse. He arrived immediately and helped to dry out the ceiling so it wouldn’t worsen while the man was gone.

When the man returned, we immediately went back to the home to fix any water damage that had occurred as a result of the pinhole leak in the ceiling. The homeowner expressed that his hardwood floors were expensive and he did not want to deal with having to replace them. SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea knew we could work around removing the floors.

We worked quickly to dry the ceiling, walls, and floors that had been impacted by the pinhole leak. By the end of the project, we were able to remove only the bits of ceiling that had been damaged.

The homeowner was thrilled with our work! He was so happy that we did not have to remove any floors and that we got out to his home so quickly so he did not miss his flight.
