A Leaky Dishwasher Causes Water Damage in a Brea Home

A Brea homeowner realized it was time to run her dishwasher one night and put it on as she left her kitchen.  About an hour later, she walked back into the kitchen only to discover a small flood.  Water was pouring out from underneath the dishwasher and she quickly turned it off to stop the flowing water.  She then used towels to sop up the mess as best she could.  Her husband then pulled the dishwasher out and discovered the leak had originated from a broken dishwasher hose.  They knew this could be fixed, but they were worried about the water damage that could have already been caused by the leak.  To have the area thoroughly checked by professionals, they called SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea the next morning.  

We sent our Production Manager, Chris Trejo, to the property immediately.  He determined that their quick action to call them out helped to decrease the amount of water damage done to the area, but there was still a small amount of damage that needed to be taken care of before it got worse.  

To perform the water damage restoration services, we send our Crew Chief, Waldo Roman, and his crew of technicians to the home to begin water damage restoration.  They installed dehumidifiers to dry out any moisture in the air that could cause more water damage and potential mold growth.  They also set up large fans to fully dry out the affected areas and ensure that all of the water was gone.

It did not take very long for our team to completely rid the home of all water damage.  The customers were very happy with our quick work and were grateful for the open lines of communication they had with Waldo.  Waldo kept the customers informed of the water restoration process throughout the entire time we were in their home.  He made them feel comfortable, and they were constantly assured of his professionalism and the quality of work he was providing.
