Water Damage Restoration from a Water Heater Leak in a Yorba Linda

A Yorba Linda, CA homeowner recently noticed that his water heater was leaking in his garage.  He was unsure of how long the unit had been leaking and this caused him to be concerned that there could be mold growing in his garage.  Aware of the damage mold can cause to your health, he knew he needed to take care of the situation immediately.  Mold can cause allergy-like symptoms and other respiratory issues, especially in children and the elderly.  This was particularly a concern for our customer because his elderly mother lived in the home with him.  He called SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea right away to come assess the damage.

Our Production Manager, Chris Trejo, responded to the call and performed an inspection of the damage.  He noticed there was extensive water damage, and when he pulled away a piece of drywall, it was evident that there was also extensive mold growth.  Chris assured the customer that our crew would be out to his home quickly to begin the water damage restoration and make their home a safe living environment once again. 

Under the direction of Waldo Roman, our Crew Chief, we began work right away.  We installed a commercial air scrubber to purify the air and remove any mold spores from the home.  We were able to completely remove all of the water in a very short amount of time.  The customer was thrilled at how quickly we were able to make his home water and mold free.  He was put at ease knowing that he and his family were safe from the harmful effects of mold and knowing that his home was once again a safe environment in which they could live. He was thankful for our level of customer service from his very first phone call to our receptionist, Chris’s excellent communication and assurance, and the professional work performed by Waldo our technicians.  He had a wonderful experience working with SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea.
