Slab Leak Causes Water Damage in a Yorba Linda, CA Home

SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea responded to a call from a customer who had an unfortunate slab leak at his home.  Not wanting to make the customer wait to have the damage assessed, our heroes were on the scene within the same hour of the phone call, even though it was in the evening hours.  We understand that events like these often happen at the most inconvenient times, which is why our water damage heroes are available nights and weekends.

When we arrived at the property, we discovered water damage from the leak in the closet, the garage, the dining room, and the utility room.  All of these areas had damaged drywall that needed to be attended to immediately.  The trouble with leaks is that they can often lead to mold.  Mold can be extremely hazardous to your health, making it important to clean up any areas that enable its growth.  Wet drywall is a perfect place for mold to start growing.  To prevent mold from growing in this home, our team arrived ready to begin the restoration the very next morning.  Our crew built drying chambers to begin removing the water from the walls and isolated the affected areas to keep anything from spreading to the rest of the home.  Thankfully, we were able to completely dry all of the walls without having to remove any of the drywall.



The customer was extremely grateful for our professional and speedy work.  He was also appreciative that our crew was able to explain to him the entire process of the water restoration so that he knew everything that needed to take place to return his home to normal.  The SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea crew came to the rescue for this homeowner who was originally afraid that we would not be able to complete the project in time for him to leave on a business trip he had planned after the holiday weekend.  But, we provide all of our customers with excellent customer service, and we were able to have the project completed in time for him to go on his business trip.  Our excellent crew chief, Cesar Arcila, went out of his way to schedule an appointment over the holiday weekend to finalize the project, ensuring it would be done on time.  The customer was ecstatic that we were willing to work with his schedule and provide superior water damage restoration to give him peace of mind that everything would be fixed and in great condition once we were done.
