Mold Remediation in a Brea, CA Home

Sometimes, it is hard to know that mold is growing in your home.  A customer recently had a plumber out for a leak that had originated from a sewer pipe in her wall.  In order to fix the leak, the plumber had to remove a section of the drywall to access the pipe.  To their surprise, there was visible mold growing in the entryway and hallway of her home.  

The discovery of mold was a great concern to the customer because she lived in the home with her young son and knew the presence of mold could affect their health.  Mold can cause allergy-like symptoms and other potentially serious conditions in anyone, but especially in children and the elderly.  The customer wanted the mold removed quickly and completely to ensure the health of her household.  

When SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea arrived, we installed a H.E.P.A filter and a dehumidifier to prevent the further growth of the mold.  This allowed the excess moisture and the air quality to stabilize while preparing the area for a complete mold remediation.  

Before any work was done, SERVPRO representative, Chris Trejo thoroughly explained the entire mold remediation process to the customer to ensure she knew what was going on in her home at all times.  She was very appreciative of the details and explanations she was given, and they made her feel at ease throughout the entire mold removal process.  All of her concerns in regards to mold remediation process were addressed and taken care of during our time at her house.  

The customer also appreciated our promptness.  We were able to remove the mold in one day, allowing her contractor to come in and repair all of the damage to her walls the next day.  It was important to give our customer her home back as soon as possible, which is why we worked diligently to make her home safe and mold-free once again.  A lab came in to test the air quality, and they determined clearance and successful removal of the mold in her home and she felt comfortable being there with her family.  She had worked with SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea before and was happy to have her expectations exceeded once again.
