Supply Line Floods a Crawlspace in Brea

When a leak in your home is discovered, it is important to immediately repair any and all damages caused. This is why SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea is available on nights and weekends. Recently, a customer discovered a leaky supply line in his home that led to the flooding of his crawlspace. The crawlspace was flooded with standing water that needed to be removed as quickly as possible to avoid the occurrence of mold. Understanding the customer’s concern and the dangers of leaving standing water in a crawlspace, we arrived at the customer’s home at 8:00 PM.  

A plumber was onsite as well, but in order for him to repair the leak, he was relying on the experience of SERVPRO to remove the standing water from the flooded crawlspace. Without our help, he would have been unable to get to the portion of the line that needed to be repaired. To remove the water and dry out the crawlspace, we placed specialty-drying equipment underneath the crawlspace. We utilized an Electric Thermal Exchanger, a specialty-heating unit that had ducting running throughout that allowed it to distribute the hot air. Doing this allowed the crawlspace to dry even quicker and restore his home to pre-flood condition timely.

A daily moisture content evaluation was performed on a daily basis in order to ensure drying was progressing as expected. The customer was extremely pleased when our technicians arrived on-time or early for the daily appointments.
