SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea Saves Home from Slab Leak’s Water Damage

We’ve seen a lot of slab leaks lately, and it’s no surprise. Slab leaks are a big problem when it comes to water damage. When a pipe leaks from under the home, it will immediately start to rise up and flood your home. It won’t stick to just one room, either. It will move from directly above the leak to any surrounding rooms, likely before you even notice. A homeowner in Anaheim recently called us after noticing her kitchen floor was consistently wet. She couldn’t track the source of the water, so she knew she had to call a professional. Her first call was to her insurance company, who told her that she should give a call to SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea. As soon as she made the call, we made our way to the home. 

Our Project Manager, Uriel Valencia, was the first one on the scene. He performed an initial inspection that showed the water had spread from the kitchen to the dining room and living room. He knew it would be the perfect job for SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea, so he called our Crew Chief, Gilbert Julian.

Gilbert came to the home and led our talented team of technicians in the cleanup process. We went in and extracted the water and then started the removal. We removed carpet and drywall from the dining room, drywall and cabinets from the kitchen and carpet from the living room. Thankfully, we were able to save the entirety of the tile in the kitchen and drywall in the living room. From there, we set up seven air movers and one dehumidifier. 

The homeowner was so happy with the work we did! She told us that she was so glad she had chosen us as her preferred water damage company, as we were so quick to start the work and keep her home safe. She told us she would be using our services again in the future if necessary.
