Supply Line Causes Water Damage on Two Floors

1/19/2016 (Permalink)

Water damage moves fast, and so should you. As soon as you notice you might have some water damage, immediately call SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea. We know how to handle all water damage problems. It’s what we do. But the longer you wait to call us, the less time we have to stop the spread before it gets worse, and the worse the damage the more we have to remove. This can include anything from just spreading from one room to the next to spreading from one floor to another. Call us immediately so we can take care of you and your home.

A homeowner in Fullerton called us recently after the supply line in her bathroom broke and started spreading rapidly. She knew she only had a short amount of time to react, so she called her plumber. Her plumber instructed her on how to turn off the water and immediately came to the home to fix the leak. He then told her she should call SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea to clean up the water damage.

Immediately, we dispatched our Project Manager, Cesar Arcila, to the home. His initial inspection showed that the leak had started seeping through the floor and into the family room below. He knew SERVPRO of Yorba Linda/Brea would be able to help fix the problem, so he called our Crew Chief, Jose Melgar, to come to the home and lead our technicians in the removal.

Our technicians arrived promptly and got to work. We ended up removing the tile in the bathroom as well as some of the tile flooring in the family room below. We also ended up removing some of the drywall in each room as well.

The homeowner was so pleased with our work. She gave us a great score on our final survey and told us she would be using our services again in the future!
